Snow x 3 and NaNoWriMo

This is the THIRD snow storm of October. THIRD. This is a little rediculous. I love snow but it's not even winter and we've have over 30 inches of snow. Our first snow storm was a record breaking storm for Nebraska where we recieved 18 inches of snow and North Platte recieved 13. The last storm we recieved 6 inches and with this storm we have 6 inches on the ground already with a bunch more on the way. I'm disgusted but totally hyped about it. Snow is so pretty!

NaNoWriMo starts on Sunday! We even get an extra hour of writing time this year due to "Fall Back." I'm totally ready! Bring it on! I have new characters and everything. James and Evan will have to take a break for a while though I love them to bits!

Also Kindred in Death comes out the third. CURSES J. D. ROBB FOR RELEASING IT IN NOVEMBER! It looks amazing and particularly gruesome. Should be fun.

*EDIT* The last snow storm we had dumped 16 more inches. Making snow totals for October 40 inches. Just to put it in perspective our normal Winter total is 29.3 inches. 0.o

Aye, it's that time of year again... Hoist Jolly Roger and confuse everyone with your ultra hip pirate babble! Make it a personal mission to pilage your local Wal-Mart for Rum!

You are The Cap'n!

Some men and women are born great, some achieve greatness and some slit the throats of any scalawag who stands between them and unlimited power. You never met a man - or woman - you couldn't eviscerate. You are the definitive Man of Action, the CEO of the Seven Seas, Lee Iacocca in a blousy shirt and drawstring-fly pants. You're mission-oriented, and if anyone gets in the way, that's his problem, now isn't? Your buckle was swashed long ago and you have never been so sure of anything as your ability to bend everyone to your will. You will call anyone out and cut off his head if he shows any sign of taking you on or backing down. If one of your lieutenants shows an overly developed sense of ambition he may find more suitable accommodations in Davy Jones' locker. That is, of course, IF you notice him. You tend to be self absorbed - a weakness that may keep you from seeing enemies where they are and imagining them where they are not.

What's Yer Inner Pirate?
brought to you by The Official Talk Like A Pirate Web Site. Arrrrr!

Everyone who reads this will probably think I'm insane. Fair warning, just to let you know. If you really know me that doesn't come as a surprise.

My Uncle Gary has esophageal cancer and we've known it for a while now. Yesterday we got word that he had been admitted to the hospital a few days earlier and he was having some respiratory problems. Today (technically yesterday) we were told he was taken to ICU with even worse problems. It was about 10 last night I was at my brothers house and we got a phone call from my mom. The first thing I thought when the phone rang was My Uncle was dying. When I first found out he had cancer I had thought he wouldn't survive it. Fatalistic I know but I will say I prayed and hoped and supported as much as I could, hoping that he would be healed and the cancer would be beaten back...

He's not going to make it. The cancer is inoperable basically. If they did operate he would bleed out on the table and die and if he did survive the surgery he would most likely never heal and his death would be drawn out and very painful. We have no idea what they, my Grandparents and other Aunts and Uncles down in Texas will do or what Gary will decide. I knew he wouldn't survive this. Family history is against him. Anyone who has had Cancer on my mom's side has not survived.

I guess I'm asking for prayers for my Uncle. I know many of you are not religious at all but if you find it in your hearts I, my family, and my Uncle would appreciate it.

My neice is the cheekiest little baby I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I was singing along with a song called "Whatever It Is" by the Zac Brown Band and there is a line that goes:

"Just something about the woman makes my heart go haywire
She's gonna be my wife."

So what does the neice ask?

"Who that?"

I swear to god I almost died laughing.

I would just like to say that Nebraska is not part of Canada, it's not an Island, and no, it's not a hole in the ground. I'm betting someone out there is wondering why this is an issue tonight... Well when you work at a call center you get calls from all over and lets just say that when they ask you where you're from you try to be as vague as possible and usually Nebraska works just fine. Tonight It didn't. I got three different answers ranging from "hole in middle of the country where no one lives," to "isn't that a province of Canada?"
I know we're small and no one actually really cares but really! Know a little geography!

Learning to Remember part 3

Part the Third in Learning to Remember
Standard warnings apply. Enjoy?

Part three

James rolled over and hit the off button on his alarm clock and when he glanced at it he cursed. Loudly. It was nine and in little more than three hours his new roommate would be arriving. With great reluctance he left the comfy cocoon of blankets on his bed and made his way to the bathroom. He decide against a shower until he was done moving the ten or so boxes in the living room and settled for brushing his teeth.

Yawning he made his way to the living room, thankful that he hadn’t brought much. A few of the boxes held his clothes and linens along with a few toiletries. Another held a set of dishes, glasses, mugs and silverware while another had various other kitchen supplies and dry food items. He had also brought a TV and DVD player. Nothing too spectacular but sufficiently “cool” enough for two college age guys as his father had put it. His room mate, as of yet still unnamed, had furnished all of the furniture minus the appliances (they had been furnished.) The one thing that was niggling his sense of curiosity was the artist easel and table full of art supplies next to it. He must be rooming with a fine arts major. That or he was some one who was really, really into art, big time.

He lugged the kitchen boxes into the kitchen and set them of the table where they would wait until he could put them away. The other boxes were lighter and it took him very little time to actually move them, it was the unpacking that he wasn’t looking forward to. Still he unboxed his clothes and linens and put them in the proper places. His suit and clubbing out fits were hung in the closet, other miscellaneous clothes were folded and put in the dresser and the extra set of sheets were put in the bottom drawer. He gathered what was left, extra razor blades, a bottle of shampoo and an extra tube of tooth paste and put them on of the shelves in bathroom closet. Dull, tedious work but it had to be done.

James’ stomach growled, signaling it needed food and it would be better if it was sooner rather than later. His stomach growled again and he sighed exasperatedly. He was going to finish unpacking in the kitchen but it looked like he would be hunting up some breakfast first. He glanced at the clock and found it was 11:30. ‘Maybe I should shower first,’ he amended taking a whiff of himself, screwing his face up.

He grabbed a tee shirt and pair of khaki shorts along with a clean pair of boxers and carted them to the bathroom. The bathroom was small, but not too small. The cabinets were stained oak and the floor was tiled with an off white color, not a cream color but not white either, just an in between shade. The vanity had one sink and a silver fixture. The shower was a tub that had a dark blue shower curtain. He stripped his dirty boxers and shirt off and turned the water on and let it build to a steam before he stepped in. In a matter of minutes he was out and toweling himself dry. He rubbed his hand across his chin and decided against shaving in favor of elevating the growling coming from his stomach.

He dressed and ran a comb through his hair, though it wasn’t really necessary before he walked to the kitchen to dig though the meager contents of his box. There were a couple of cans of vegetables, fruit, and soup. He also found a box of granola bars and a bag of chips. He ripped open granola bar and bit into it. It would due until he could go shopping. Maybe his roommate would want to go get some lunch some where, get to know each other. Besides he really owed him for furnishing the apartment, it really would have sucked to lug all of his furniture the 400 miles it took to get to Bellevue. It had been a blessing that the super had called to tell him his roommate was providing furniture.

He polished off his granola bar and grabbed another. The sweet taste of honey and almond danced over his taste buds as he bit into the second. He began to take out the various items from the box as he munched his pseudo- lunch. He found the packages of ramen under a box of cereal.

“You and I almost had a date last night,” said James as he put them in one of the cupboards. He continued going through the boxes and putting the contents away until he heard muffled voices at the front door and then the door unlocking.

“…Now your roommate, James arrived yesterday. He didn’t have a problem with the furniture either so no problems there,” explained John Keriegg, the buildings manager. “You two are the last ones moving in this year so you both will probably be seeing your neighbors dropping by. If you have any questions feel free to ask.”

“Thank you,” replied his roommate. The other man had an Asian look to him. Bronze colored skin and dark eyes with silver rimmed glasses perched on his pert nose. He straight, shining hair pulled back in to a short pony tail and was maybe three, four inches at the most shorter than he was. Both John and the other man saw him at the same time and John made the introductions.

“James! This is your roommate Kent Porter,” said John enthusiastically. John was in his late 50’s and already sporting a head of grey hair. His wardrobe consisted of Hawaiian shirts, Bermuda shorts and flip flops. He was pretty laid back but he didn’t take any grief from anyone. “I’ll get out of your way now.”

There was an awkward pause as John excused himself. James looked the other over and then smiled.

“Hi, nice to finally know your name,” said James extending his hand. “John was a little tight lipped about it.”

Kent took his hand and James was pleased to feel his grip was strong and steady.

“That would be my agents fault,” Kent told him sheepishly. “She thought if you knew who I was before hand you would sell the information or something of that sort.”

“Agent?” asked James bewildered. “I take ‘she’ would be an art agent if the table in the corner is any clue.”

“Yes, actually she said she’d be stopping by later to see how every things going,” said Kent affectionately. “She’s really like a big sister to me, helped pick out all the furniture too. I hope you don’t mind that I brought all the furniture and took up so much of this room with my supplies.” Kent sounded a little anxious.

“No, if anything I’m glad you brought the furniture!” laughed James. “I would have had to get a moving truck and drive it 400 miles to get it here and the table is fine, I’m sure that if we need the extra room we can move it.”

“That’s a relief!” sighed Kent. “Jami, that’s my agent, decided that my first apartment just had to be ‘perfect!’ and I just had to have the best of everything.” He rolled his eyes.

“Well I’ll have to thank Jami,” said James. “I was thinking about going out to get something to eat then run to the grocery store. Would you like to come? It’s my treat.”

“I was actually going to ask if you wanted to go out with Jami and myself in a couple hours,” said Kent. “But if you’d like to go get something now we can.”

“I’ve only had a couple granola bars so far,” said James. “But I can wait, that is if you’re sure you want me to go.”

“I wouldn’t have offered if I didn’t,” teased Kent, his dark eyes glimmering. “We should go to the store though.”

“Let me grab my wallet and you can put your bag in away,” said James already heading toward his room. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Kent nodding his consent and heading to his own room, bag in hand.

James grabbed his wallet and keys and called, “We’ll take my car, that okay?”

“Sure!” was his reply.
When they had made their way down stairs James led Kent to his car. It was a dark blue Chevy Malibu, the product of his parents and grandparents graduation present to him. It was by far the best present he had ever received, though the college trust fund in his name was a very close second. For the next four years he didn’t need to work but he had plans to get a job. It would drive him absolutely batty if he only had homework to do in his free time. At the farm he was usually up by five in the morning, feeding the horses and cleaning their stalls. It was calming in his mind.

He shook these thoughts from his mind as he unlocked the doors and Kent and himself slid in. He had just slid the key into the ignition when he heard Kent’s cell phone chirping in his pocket. He pulled it out and read the display and groaned theatrically.

“Do you mind if I take this?” he asked and James shook his head and Kent flipped the phone open. James pulled out of the parking lot and headed toward the grocery store he had noticed a couple blocks away.

“Hi Jami,” he said in to the phone. “I figured you’d call, I mean I haven’t even been here and hour.” There was a pause and Kent laughed. “Yes I’m saying you’re suffocating.” Another longer pause and Kent sighed a couple times. “Yes the apartment is good, yes the latest sketches are coming along, and no! No, No, No! N-O! No way, no how! I don’t want you scaring him off.” This time James could hear a laugh over the phone. “Anyway, James and I are heading to the grocery store so I should go. We’re still on for 3?” James glanced at Kent and saw he was nodding. “Yeah, James said he would come also. I know you’re dying to meet him.” There was a pause and Kent made a sound of frustration. “He’s seems to be decent enough and you can make your own impression later. I’ve got to go, we’ve just pulled in to the grocery store.” There was another short pause and Kent made his good bye.

“What was that about?” James asked bemusedly. He was keeping his eyes open for an open space, slowly circling the lot.

“Just Jami being her normal annoying self,” said Kent affectionately. “She asked if you would be willing to be a nude model for me.”

James hit the break and stared at the other man slack jawed. Kent saw his expression and burst out laughing.

“What!?”

“Don’t worry she was just teasing,” reassured Kent. “Oh, if you hurry there’s a space up front that just opened up.”

James composed himself enough that they were able to get the parking space but his mind was still whirling. First Valarie and know the Kent’s faceless agent! “Females are insane,:” he decided firmly. “Absolutely barking the lot of them.”

“Earth to James!” James was jolted from his thoughts by Kent waving his hand in front of his face. “Do you want to push the cart of would you like me to?”

“It’s all yours,” said James and pulled one of the carts out for Kent. “So what first?”

“Well, we could just go up and down the aisles and pick out stuff that looks good,” suggested Kent.

“That’s as good as any plan,” said James and he walked down the fist aisle.

It took nearly thirty minutes but they had a packed cart full of a variety of meat, drinks, vegetables and fruits, frozen dinners, various boxes of instant side dishes, and snack foods. They had both picked out their favorites and found they had pretty similar tastes. James did add a bottle of hot sauce to the cart and Kent had grimaced. It seemed hot foods were not his favorites and James had gagged playfully when Kent threw a couple cans of green beans in. Green beans and him didn’t get along at all.

The checker had whistled when their total, a whopping 436 dollars and 42 cents came up. James handed her his credit card and they were on their way. When they got to the apartment building it took two trips to get every thing upstairs.

“I don’t think I should shop on an empty stomach again,” said James in awe at the sea of bags in front of them.

“Yeah… You know that might be something to remember,” said Kent in an equally awed voice. “My only question is where is it all going to fit?”

“In here obviously,” teased James.

“Har dee har har,” said Kent, sarcasm dripping from his words. “Just start putting stuff away.”

It took them twenty minutes and some creative maneuvering but they got every think into the cupboards and the refrigerator. After they were finished James grabbed a couple of bottles of water that they had gotten added to the their pile of groceries somewhere near the end of their shopping excursion and relaxed.

They had sat in silence for maybe five minutes when the door bell rang. They exchanged looks and Kent got a strange look in his eye.

“I’ll bet it’s Jami,” he said and rose to get the door. James followed him to the door and Kent swung it open.

“Hi James!” said a high pitch sugary sweet voice.

James eyes widened in horror. It was Valarie.

DUN, DUN, DUN!

Learning to Remember Ch. 02

Okay Everyone! Chapter two is out for those of you interested. And guess what? It has a name! It's Learning to Remember. Title is totally credited to Tresa. ^^

Evan watched as his brown-eyed companion walked toward the restroom. There was something familiar about James. Something that made his heart leap into his throat, made his heart pound. He jumped when he felt a hand settle on his shoulder.

“Wow Evan, you’ve got it bad don’t you?” asked Sidda as she pushed him farther into the booth and sat down.

“I don’t know what you mean,” he replied and he took a swig of his coke.

“Yes you do!” said Sidda. “You were totally checking him out.”

“No I wasn’t,” Evan replied distractedly. “I feel like I know him from some where.”
Comprehension dawned on Siddas’ face. “Oh… Oh!”

“Yeah.”

~` *~` *~` *~

James came back from the restroom and found Sidda sitting next to Evan and glaring at a blond waitress who was refilling their drinks. He had a guess at who the new addition was.

“James! I have some one for you to meet!” hollered Evan and the look of pure relief on his face when he settled into his seat made him smile. That is until he looked into the girls face. Her eyes were sweeping up and down his body and she had this hungry look on her face. He shivered aa her tongue licked at her lips.

“Hi, I’m Valerie. It’s nice to meet you James.” Purred the now names Valerie.

“So this is the infamous Val.” Thought James and he scrubbed his hand over his spiked brown hair.

“Like wise,” said James as she smiled. Sidda snorted and Valerie glared at her roommate.

“Do you have something to say Sid?” asked Valerie venomously.

“Oh no, you can just ignore me,” Sidda said sweetly. “You really should get back to work you know. Mr. Neilson is glaring at you.”

Valerie nodded slightly and asked, “Will you be needing anything else this evening?” When the all they all confirmed that there was nothing else need she set their bill on the table and before James could take it, Evan had snatched it.

“Thanks Val,” said Evan and she nodded.

“I’ll see you guys around,” She said looking directly into James eyes and then she turned and waltzed away.

Sidda burst out laughing. “Some one’s got a stalker.”

“Sidda! Don’t scare James off,” Evan smirked.
“She… She looked like she wanted to eat me!” James was horrified. Sure, they told him the basics but this girl was seriously scary.

The two opposite him laughed raucously, drawing a few glances in their direction.

“I’m serious, she licked her lips and everything,” he said horrified and if anything the two opposite him laughed harder.

“Yes well,” chortled Sidda. “She focuses on one guy and stalks him until he goes out with her.”

“Yeah,” snorted Evan. “That’s what happened with Conner, he’s my roommate and Val’s ex boyfriend.”

“How long did she follow him around?” James asked warily.

“Oh it was at least 2 months before he cracked,” said Sidda nonchalantly. “With your farmers tan, muscles and gorgeous eyes and hair you can bet your ass, very fine ass, by the way that she will be stuck to you like a fly on sticky paper.”

Evan threw a feeble back handed slap at Sidda’s shoulder and she laughingly caught it.

“Don’t be telling him things like that,” said Evan and Sidda smirked.

“Too late,” mutter James as he slid a little farther down his seat. Valerie was looking straight at him and even from that distance he could see a gleam in her blue eyes. Her eyes were nothing like Evans. While they were close to the same shade, Evan’s were wide, expressive and warm. Hers were cool and detached. He shuddered when she caught his eye. “She is really creepy guys.”

“Well yeah she is but I think part of it is because she’s from a super rich family,” said Sidda matter of factly. “She thinks she can have anything she wants when she wants it. I don’t know why she decided to have a roommate or this two-bit job. She’s totally loaded.”

“Well maybe she wanted to broaden her horizons,” mused Evan. “Or maybe her family is making her do this.”

“Or maybe she vampire looking for her mate,” said Sidda sarcastically. “Can you imagine Miss Priss’ parents ‘making’ her do anything? Get real!”

“You’re probably right,” Said Evan. “Hey! That can be your homework, Find out why Valerie is living with you!”

“Ha bloody Ha,” sniffled Sidda. “School isn’t for another week so no homework ‘til then. Besides that would mean having a civil conversation with her. Any way’s I’m pretty beat, I’m going to go home.”
James looked at his watch and was surprised to see it was already nine. “It is getting rather late, huh?”

“Yeah,” said Evan also looking at his watch. “Do you have a ride back to the apartment building, Sidda?”

“I was just going to walk,” she shrugged.

“Nonsense,” said Evan. “I have room, you can catch a ride with us.”

Sidda shrugged and Evan pulled a five and ten out of his wallet and dropped them on the table. With the bill taken care of, they left. The ride home was boisterous and full of laughter. Both Sidda and Evan were pointing out landmarks and telling stories about each place they drove past. When they pulled into the Buildings parking area they were gasping for air.

“Well it was great meeting you James,” giggled Sidda. “There’s a really great club that’s going to be opening Friday and Evan and a few of our friends will be going. Do you want to go?”

“Sure It sounds like a blast,” shrugged James and Sidda beamed at him and she started up the stairs.

“Awesome! Any way’s I’ll see you then if not sooner,” Sidda said as she walked up the first flight of stairs, Evan directly behind her and James bringing up the rear. They reached the Second floor and Sidda turned left, heading toward her room.

“Night Guys!” she called.

“Goodnight Sidda!”

“Night!”

They continued up the stairs and made it to their own floor. They reached James’ apartment and they both paused.

“It was really great to meet you James,” Evan told him and James crooked a smile at Evan.

“Likewise though next time I’m picking up the check,” said James, now grinning.

“We’ll see about that,” replied Evan a grin also on his face. “Any way I’d better get going I have to go to bookstore tomorrow morning.”

“Yeah I’d better go too,” sighed James remember the stack of ten or so boxes he still had to move to his room. “My new roommate will be her tomorrow and I have to get those boxes out of the living room.”
Evan winced and nodded sympathetically. “Yeah, well Good night.”

“You too,” said James. “See you Friday.”

“Yeah.”

James unlocked his door and stepped into his silent apartment. The boxes could probably wait until the morning. His roommate said he wouldn’t be there until noon at the earliest. He made his way to his room, only pausing to shuck his shoes and jeans before collapsing on his bed.

“Evan is pretty cool,” he thought sleepily. He snuggled deeper into his pillow, and drifted off.

Learning to Remember Ch.1

Learning to Remember
Warmings: YAOI, original characters as this is an original fic.
Rating:K (for now, higher later)

James hefted the last box out of the back seat and kicked the door shut. "Finally! The last one!"he thought as he trudged back to apartment building. His new room mate would be there the next day and the classes started a week later. It was strange to be away but still he was glad to be away from the farm. There were to many memories, especially this time of year. James shook his head, forcing his darkening thoughts away for the moment. He pressed his palm to the palm plate mounted to the left of the door and when he heard it beep, opened the door.

He trudged up the two flights of stairs to the third floor. He he had just opened the door when his next door neighbor stepped out. The man was a couple inches shorted than himself with sun-kissed blond hair that flopped over deep, clear, blue eyes. He smiled at James as he closed the door.

"I heard we were getting a new neighbor," he said softly. "My Name is Evan. Evan Lyonhardt."

"Here let me put this down real quick," said James and he set the box on the floor just inside the door. "It's nice to meet you Evan. The name is James Arden." He extended his hand and Evan took it in his own. Evans' grip was firm and his gaze steady. James allowed a smile to spread over his weary face and in response a smile graced the others lips.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too," said Evan. "I was just heading out to get something to eat, would you like to join me? It would be nice to get to know you a little better, what with our being next door neighbors and all."

"Sure," shrugged James. "I don't have any plans other than a date with a package of instant ramen." He finished with a nudge to the box at his feet. "If you don't mind waiting a moment I can put this with the others and I'll be ready to go."

"Sure," said Evan with a shrug.

James picked up the box of food and stepped into his new apartment. He set it in the middle of the living room along with the rest of his belongings. He would have to move them into his room after he got back and he grimaced at the thought. He patted his pockets, making sure he had his keys and his wallet and strode out of the apartment.

"Where are we going?" asked James as he secured the lock.

"There's a great little mom and pop diner a couple miles away," said Evan. "They have the best onion rings I've ever eaten. I think we'll take my car."

"That sounds good," said James.

They made their way down the stairs and Evan led the way to his car. It was a nice little silver Chevy two door. Evan had beeped the little car open so when then reached it they climbed in. Evan started the car and pulled out of the small parking lot. Traffic was light and the rode mostly in silence. Evan was right it was only a couple miles away. They pulled into the well lit parking lot and James got a good look at the building. A red and blue neon sign proclaimed "Merrick's Best Burgers in Town!" and the large windows showed tables packed with people around his age, laughing and having a great time with friends.

"Looks like a good place," said James as Evan pulled into a parking slot.

"It is," said Evan as they exited the car."I'm so glad Sidda, you'll meet her tonight most likely, told me about it."

"Does Sidda live in the same building as us?" asked James and Evan nodded.

"Yeah, she lives with her room mate on the second floor," responded Evan and nodded his thanks as James held the door open for him. "They both work here."

They found a booth near the back and Evan pulled two menus from behind the metal salt and pepper rack. James opened his and he was surprised at the variety they had. The menu held every thing from Hot Beef sandwiches to Hamburgers and Chicken strips and every thing in between. He jumped when a plastic glass of water was set in front of him. Evan sniggered and the offender, a girl with black hair with purple tips and twinkling, gray eyes laughed.

"Sidda, James Arden. James Sidda-Li Jones affectionately known as Li," Evan chuckled and he fended off a swat from the now named Sidda. "Lay off!"

"Nice to meet you James and the name is Sidda," said Sidda with a warning glare towards Evan. "No matter what this idiot tells you."

James held up his hands in mock surrender."You have my word Ma'am" he said solemnly and she nodded in satisfaction.

"James is the one who moved in next door to me and Connor," explained Evan.

"Oh! Your the last one moving in this semester huh?" asked Sidda. "Well It's nice to meet you, James. Any way are you two ready to order? My boss is giving me the evil eye." She gestured with a nod to a balding man who was indeed glaring in her direction.

"Yeah I think we are. I want a double bacon cheese burger, a order of onion rings, and a Coke. How about you James?" asked Evan. "My treat."

"I'll have the same please," he folded his menu and decided not to argue with Evans generosity.

"Alright, I'll get those drinks out in a minute." said Sidda as she scribbled their order on her pad and scurried away.

"She's a fire cracker, let me tell you," said Evan with a laugh. "Never a dull moment when she's around."

"I can just imagine if her room mate is anything like her," said James and he winced as he heard an "AH HEM!" sound behind him. Evan on the other hand burst out laughing as James finished his sentence.

"Are you insinuating I am like that prissy pink princess?" demanded Sidda as she set their drinks in front of them and handed them straws. "Well you are sadly mistaken mister!"

"Calm yourself Li," smirked Evan and he had to duck to avoid her slap. "I haven't told him about Valarie yet."

"Well in that case...:" she trailed off. "Just make sure it doesn't happen again! Hell you might even want to pass that on to Miss Priss. I bet she'd have a heart attack."

"Jeeze Sid, be nice to your roomie."

"Nice shmice that idiot got her chance," huffed Sidda. "Any way your food should be out in a couple minutes and I get off in ten. Miss Priss will be in to relieve me."

Sidda turned and stalked toward the kitchen area and Evan shook his head.

"Val and Sidda had a huge blow up about a week after they moved in together," explained Evan. "It seemed Val didn't like that Sidda is Bi."

"Why would that matter?" asked James a little puzzled.

"Val thought that Sidda had her eye on her Ex-boyfriend but it was really the ex's girlfriend she was more interested in," said Evan. "They got in this huge screaming match outside the building where Val accused Sidda of swooping into steal him so soon after their break up. Sidda told her it was the girl she was interested in an Val almost fainted. It seems she's a tad homophobic."

"That doesn't account for her being an idiot though," James pointed out.

"Well the next day while Sidda was getting her hair dyed with some help from a friend and Val called in a panic saying she was locked out of their apartment," continued Evan. "So Sidda had to walk the block and a half to the apartment building with hair dye still in her hair to open the door for her. She got there and got the door unlocked and just as she opened the door, Val found her keys in her purse."

"Too right she does!" groused Sidda and she laid plates of hot burgers and onion rings in front of both of them. "I got there, got the door unlocked and the idiot had the key right in her purse."

"Not only that," cut in Evan, "because she had to get the door unlocked, the dye stayed in her hair to long."

"Yeah," growled Sidda and she patted her black and purple hair. "I was going for red but it ended up neon orange."

James scrutinized the girl in front of him and burst out laughing at the thought of her with orange hair. Sidda scowled at him good natured-ly.

"Oh you!" This time it was James Dodging a swat.

"Come on Sid, I think after two months you can forgive her," laughed Evan, his blue eyes twinkling.

"I don't think you understand the humiliation I had to suffer walking around with orange hair for three days," said Sidda grumpily. "Anyway you guys enjoy you meal." And with that she walked off.

"Neon orange huh?" Asked James once the girl was out of site.

"Yeah. It clashed horribly with her complexion." said Evan and he took a bite of his burger and James followed suit.

"Mm, this is good," said James after he swallowed his bite of hamburger.

Evan nodded in agreement as he smushed an onion ring into a pile of Ketchup.

"So how long have you lived here? The apartment building I mean" amended James and he himself grabbed the bottle of Ketchup and poured a healthy amount on to his own plate.

"I moved in shortly after I graduated so about 3 months ago now," said Evan thoughtfully. "I needed to get you know?"

"Yeah," sighed James. "I know exactly what you mean."

Evan held his gaze for a long moment before looking away.

The Cherry Tree Carol If anything the title just disturbing.

3. Frosty the Snowman What demented fool wrote a christmas song about a mutant Snowman?

4. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus Ewww... gross...
Snow, Snow and More Snow.

Okay here's the DL everyone. It's bloody cold. And its snowing. *shiver* We have tree limbs down all over and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. The only good thing that will come of this is the roads will be closed and I won't be able to get to work... Not that that's a tragedy. I'm sure it'll be a huge ordeal that I won't be able to talk to the creepy foot guy on the phone but still. I'll take an accident free year (yes it has been a year since my last accident) over $80 bucks.

So yeah... WHITE CHRISTMAS! OMG! We haven't had one since I was in first grade. I so couldn't resist going out and making a snow angel even thought it's freezing and snowing and dark. It was so calm... It gives "Silent Night" a whole new meaning. ^.^

I have a Deviantart account now too and I have a few pictures I did on photoshop up. It's under the same user name I use here. (I'm so original ain't I?) Also the Nebraskaland day concerts have announced. This year Clay Walker, Danielle Peck, Eric Church, Phil Vassar, and Neil McCoy will be there! Yay! No one who reads this probably knows who they are but not a lot of my friends listen to country music.

Hmm I think that's all that Happening really... I won NaNo, started a new novel... about 10k into this one, not done with my christmas shopping and there's a blizzard out side. YAY!

So Merry Christmas Tresa and if you want something more let me know, I'll do my best!

Steam filled the small bathroom. Evan stood in the shower letting the hot, soothing water pour over his body. He thought back to his day and a smile spread over his face. His new lover was just out side the bathroom door probably waiting to use the shower himself. He leaned forward and braced himself against the wall of the shower and let the water sluice through his blonde hair and closed his eyes. He could see their earlier antics in the back of his mind and he let a hand trail down his belly to run over his hardening member.

James leaned against the door jam and watched Evan under the spray. Toned and tanned muscles glistened and rippled as his lover shifted, spreading his legs slightly as the warm water enveloped him. James shifted himself as he felt himself harden. He could see Evan’s hand drifting south and James decided it was time to join him. He pulled his boxers over his hips and stifled a groan at the feel of the cloth scraping over his hardened flesh.

He opened the door and Evan jerked and turned to see what caused the rush of cool air against his backside. James chuckled and Evan blushed and his hand fell to his side.

“James! I…I’ll be done in a couple minutes,” said Evan and James closed the door behind him.

“There’s no need to waste water with taking two showers when we could share,” purred James and he pulled Evan to his chest and pressed his lips to the other's.

“Oh…” sighed Evan and he relaxed against James' warm chest.

James maneuvered them until they were both under the hot spray of the shower. He ran his hands over the smooth planes of Evans chest and closed his fingers over one of his nipples, rolling it slightly with his finger tips. Evan gasped and closed his beautiful blue eyes. James lowered his head to lick droplets of water from the exposed flesh. Evan tilted his head back exposing more of his skin to James ministrations. James continued his trail down Evans chest, licking drops of water from slightly salty skin until he reached the hardened nubs of his nipples. His mouth closed over one little bud and he swirled his around it.

“Mmm… You taste delicious Evan,” sighed James as he pulled his mouth away from Evans body. His hands traced over Evans taught stomach and grasped his hips. He darted his tongue out, tasting the tip of Evans erection. “Delicious.”

“I…ohh…” moaned Evan as James took his entire length in to his mouth. Evan slumped against the wall hands splayed. Jame’s mouth was so warm and moist; it sent jolts of pleasure coursing through his body. James began to move his head up and down his length, letting his teeth graze the hardened flesh in his mouth. Unable to stop himself, Evan thrust into that inviting mouth and a tiny moan escaped. James slid one of his hands behind Evan and began to message the cleft of his ass.

With his other hand he found a bottle of conditioner and slicked his his fingers with it. The touch went unnoticed until James carefully pushed two of his fingers past the ring of muscles located there. Evan jerked slightly, thrusting deeper into James mouth. A chuckle reverberated in Jame’s throat and traveled up Evan’s throbbing arousal. It proved too much for Evan and he felt his climax grow inside him and he released himself into James waiting mouth. James swallowed every drop greedily and licked him clean. He stood slowly, maintaining his gentle thrusting rhythm with his fingers. Evan leaned against the wall of the shower panting, letting the warm water flow over his body.

“James… That…” James silenced his words as he covered Evans mouth with his own, pushing his tongue past Evans lips to explore his mouth. Evan could taste himself on James' lips. Evan began to kiss James back, tongues battling each other. James leaned into the kiss, pressing the smaller teen tight against the wall. His neglected erection brushed against Evan and he bucked his hips against him, seeking contact to ease his growing arousal. He twisted his fingers in Evans body and added a third.

Evan’s own erection was returning and they broke apart, gasping for air.

James leaned against his lover and panted, “I need to be in you, please,” his voice puffed over slick skin. “Please.”

Evan looked into James eyes and saw the raw lust and desire there. The same desire he felt raging through his own body. He nodded and brushed his lips over James’ swollen wet lips. He thrust his hips down on James’ thrusting fingers, conveying his own need.

James captured Evans lips fiercely. Evan groaned into his mouth and then pulled away slightly. “Wha..?” James began before Evan silenced him with a peck on his lips. He deliberately turned around and placed his hands on the slick tile bracing himself. James drew in a sharp breath of moist air and withdrew his fingers. Evan let out a small sound of protest and James smiled as he picked up the bottle of conditioner a liberally coated his erection with the creamy substance.

“Patience,” he said as he drug the tip of his dripping erection against the cleft of Evans ass. Evan moaned as the head slipped by his entrance and he drove himself back on it, in no mood to wait. James cried out feeling his erection being surrounded by Evans pulsing heat. He instinctively thrust forward, completely burying himself in that delicious heat. He waited until he was sure Evan was adjusted to his length then he began to with draw until just the head was inside and then he thrust inside, hitting the bundle of nerves buried deep inside Evan.

Evan arched into James chest and cried out. He thrust back on to Jame’s cock, craving to feel that feeling again. James thrust again and Evan cried out in pleasure. They moved together and each groaned in response to the intense pleasure shooting up and down their spines. James tried to hold back but he could help but thrust deeper, harder, faster as Evan emitted harsh cries of pleasure. His hand snaked around Evan and his grabbed his throbbing arousal. Evan’s head fell back and James closed his teeth on his pulse. Jame’s tongue soothed the mark and his grip tightened on Evan’s cock, stroking it fasted.

Evan screamed his release, spilling his essence into Jame’s hand. His body shook with the intensity of it and his pulsing channel clamped down on Jame’s still moving erection. Jame’s followed, crying out Evan’s name as he spilled himself into him. Both sagged against the wall of the shower, fighting for breath, quaking in the aftermath. They sank to the floor and James softening member slid out of Evan's warmth.

Jame’s stood a slight smile on his face. He pulled Evan off the floor and into his chest once again. He took Evan’s mouth in a last, deep kiss.

“Mmm. Maybe we should take showers together more often,” said James as he grabbed a bottle of shampoo.

“I think you’re right,” said Evan into his chest and he purred as Jame's began to message the small glob of shampoo in to his hair.

Tell me what you think... *is nervous*

A not particularly good, unbeta'd original fic that I wrote for a backstory for my NaNoWriMo novel.

Trey Back Story- Free Flow and first meetings.

Trey Barton didn't have many friends in school, often preferring the gym, music auditorium, or the library to hanging out with his school mates during his lunch period. He would always be practicing his flute or clarinet or even gymnastics, his sport of choice; sometimes he would scour the library for books on advanced physics and chemistry or computer programming. His parents owned a very successful and large vineyard in France and another back in America. He was 13 years old and not what one would call a normal teenager.

Trey was now on a rare trip to Paris, one of his parents wine conferences. His sister Kathy had even come from New York to participate, bringing a wide selection of their American wines. So far it had been a good year for his families business and his parents were ecstatic. He himself was excited to be there for a different reason, free running. The Hotel they were staying was in the heart of Paris, a luxurious, high-priced concrete structure that put him in prime position to find an excellent course for the day.

He knew the area well, many parking garages, rails, walls and ledges, perfect for free running. He sat down in the sitting room of his room and began to stretch, using years of flexibility from gymnastics to lift his right leg over his head, toe pointing to the ceiling. When he deemed himself ready he left the room from the balcony, immediately finding his balance on the sturdy cast-iron railing. He ran to the concrete ledge of building vaulted to a rain pipe. He climbed the three stories to the side walk and then he took of running. He vaulted cat like over a stone wall, rolling as he hit the ground and he popped up in front of a short blonde haired boy. Trey stopped short as the shorter boy gaped at him.

"Woah... How did you do that?!" the boy asked.

Trey chuckled as the boy babbled.

"ThatwassocoolIcan'tbelievesomeonecoulddothathowoldarwhereareyourparents? I'm Quatre Winter by the way, who are you?" Trey gaped at the newly christen Quatre then burst out laughing.

Now it was Quatres turn to gape at Trey and then he too started to laugh.

"I'm Trey Barton and I'm 13. I was doing free running," said Trey. "Of the Winter family, the Winter Enterprises Family?"

“Yeah,” Quatre said nervously. “Don't say it too loud though. I gave my body guard the slip and I’m not ready to be found yet."

"Body guard?" Some how he was surprised to know the young blonde had one.

"Yup, but enough about me, that was so cool! How long have you been able to do that?" the blonde asked.

"For a while now. I first found out about Parkour or Free Running a couple years back but I’ve been doing gymnastics since I was four years old," Trey explained. "I'm supposed to meet you family at a cafe a few blocks from here for lunch and this street is one of the most challenging free runner haunts I know of."
The blonde was looking at him in awe. "You must work out a ton to be able to do that."

Trey shrugged noncommittally. It didn’t seem like it to him but when he was at school he was very aware that girls giggled like loons behind his back, not that he would acknowledge them. He was busy having a life.

"Quatre, I really need to go. I'm sorry but I'm going to be late if I don't hurry." Trey said apologetically and Quatre nodded understandingly though a bit sadly.

"It was really great to meet you Trey, do you think we'll meet again?"

"I don't know Quatre. I hope we will." With that Trey took off running leaving the other boy to watch him as he tick tacked his way up a way and disappear.

"Bye Trey." Quatre said and with that he walked away.
