12:13 am - Snow x 3 and NaNoWriMo

This is the THIRD snow storm of October. THIRD. This is a little rediculous. I love snow but it's not even winter and we've have over 30 inches of snow. Our first snow storm was a record breaking storm for Nebraska where we recieved 18 inches of snow and North Platte recieved 13. The last storm we recieved 6 inches and with this storm we have 6 inches on the ground already with a bunch more on the way. I'm disgusted but totally hyped about it. Snow is so pretty!
NaNoWriMo starts on Sunday! We even get an extra hour of writing time this year due to "Fall Back." I'm totally ready! Bring it on! I have new characters and everything. James and Evan will have to take a break for a while though I love them to bits!
Also Kindred in Death comes out the third. CURSES J. D. ROBB FOR RELEASING IT IN NOVEMBER! It looks amazing and particularly gruesome. Should be fun.
*EDIT* The last snow storm we had dumped 16 more inches. Making snow totals for October 40 inches. Just to put it in perspective our normal Winter total is 29.3 inches. 0.o

My Uncle Gary passed away on July 23 at 11:05 PM at the age of 46. His funeral will be on Tuesday and he will be Buried at Fort Sam National Cemetery on Wednsday. We just arrived in San Antonio last night and this is the first time I've been online. I'd like to thank everyone who has prayed and/or thought about my family.

Everyone who reads this will probably think I'm insane. Fair warning, just to let you know. If you really know me that doesn't come as a surprise.
My Uncle Gary has esophageal cancer and we've known it for a while now. Yesterday we got word that he had been admitted to the hospital a few days earlier and he was having some respiratory problems. Today (technically yesterday) we were told he was taken to ICU with even worse problems. It was about 10 last night I was at my brothers house and we got a phone call from my mom. The first thing I thought when the phone rang was My Uncle was dying. When I first found out he had cancer I had thought he wouldn't survive it. Fatalistic I know but I will say I prayed and hoped and supported as much as I could, hoping that he would be healed and the cancer would be beaten back...
He's not going to make it. The cancer is inoperable basically. If they did operate he would bleed out on the table and die and if he did survive the surgery he would most likely never heal and his death would be drawn out and very painful. We have no idea what they, my Grandparents and other Aunts and Uncles down in Texas will do or what Gary will decide. I knew he wouldn't survive this. Family history is against him. Anyone who has had Cancer on my mom's side has not survived.
I guess I'm asking for prayers for my Uncle. I know many of you are not religious at all but if you find it in your hearts I, my family, and my Uncle would appreciate it.

My neice is the cheekiest little baby I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I was singing along with a song called "Whatever It Is" by the Zac Brown Band and there is a line that goes:
"Just something about the woman makes my heart go haywire
She's gonna be my wife."
So what does the neice ask?
"Who that?"
I swear to god I almost died laughing.

I would just like to say that Nebraska is not part of Canada, it's not an Island, and no, it's not a hole in the ground. I'm betting someone out there is wondering why this is an issue tonight... Well when you work at a call center you get calls from all over and lets just say that when they ask you where you're from you try to be as vague as possible and usually Nebraska works just fine. Tonight It didn't. I got three different answers ranging from "hole in middle of the country where no one lives," to "isn't that a province of Canada?"
I know we're small and no one actually really cares but really! Know a little geography!

I'm an Aunt! My niece was born this morning at 5:29. She weighs 6 pounds 11 ounces and is 19 and a half inches long. Her name is Annette Eilene and she is the CUTEST!

You know those stupid caps that you get on soft drinks that have the codes on them? They want you to go enter them? Well I did on a pepsi one and I just won a $100. *is shocked* wtf? I never win anything!
Any way, huge plans for the 4th. We're have and huge family barbque and lighting off over $900 worth of fireworks. Oh yeah I also get to go to the Rodeo! Wheee! I get to see hot cowboys!

BOOK COVER OMG!!!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book cover everyone! GO LOOK! I know everyone's flists must be clogged with these posts but I did it for the last one too.^.^ It's like a tradition!
Okay Now that THAT is out of my system I'm Almost done with chapter 3 In Learning to Remember, so it should be out soon! It's coming along pretty good.

I HATE MY SCHOOL! Okay enough with the caps lock, My math class just got canceled because there weren't enough people to take it. And to make matters worse I can't return my book that cost 80 bloody dollars and I had to drive 23 miles to get to this class. ARGHH! Now I have to scramble to get into a class that has been started a WEEK. A WEEK OF CLASS I MISSED. Crap!
